Labor is two rates and one discount. Everything below that is a fixed price for a defined job, confirmed in writing before any work begins.

Off labor and off diagnostics. It is the only discount I offer, it does not stack with anything, and there is nothing to apply for — you just tell me you qualify.

No. Scheduling, questions about what I do, and written quotes and estimates are always free. What is billed is the actual work — advice, troubleshooting, diagnosis, second opinions — whether it happens at your desk or over the phone.
Because it is the same work, and charging two prices for it only ever confused people. If I can tell you the answer in four minutes instead of connecting to your screen for twenty, you should not end up paying more for the faster fix.

There is no form and no card to show — if you are a veteran or active military, a Sun City Summerlin resident, or someone I have done paid work for before, say so when you book and the rate is 20% off. I may ask veterans for proof of service at our first visit, and that is the whole process.

They are different services with different equipment and different rates. On-location recording is billed at the videography rate — it is never billed at the on-site tech rate.
No, and this one causes the most confusion. Recording, editing, and production routinely take many hours to produce a few minutes of finished runtime. Labor time is billed, not output length.
Never. No commissions, no quotas, no padded recommendations. If your machine is not worth repairing, I will tell you so and lose the job. That is the whole point of hiring an independent.

Credit is spent at exactly the rates above, $75/hr for phone and remote, in the same 15-minute blocks. Prepaying does not buy a different hourly rate; it buys bonus credit and priority. No subscription, and it never expires.
